The Blue Tape Dispenser

"No ideas but in things"

the poet Carlos Williams wrote. I could not agree more. The Blue Tape Dispenser is a series of color photographs of sculptural objects. They take note of human nature in likely and unlikely places, by revealing an often overlooked sign language in the world around us. And as Flaubert said, it only requires an intense gaze on an object to make it interesting: when it is observed in an individualized manner. This can give rise to associations with the surrounding context of a fleetingness that only photography is capable of revealing.
